The search for 10 young passionate activists to feature in a 3D documentary to save the rainforest and endangered orang-utans in the Borneo jungle has begun.

This ground-breaking project is an initiative from the environmental group DeforestAction, which connects young people from all around the world to focus their fight against deforestation.

In collaboration with Dr Willlie Smits and Orangutan Outreach, Australian film company Virgo Productions will develop a 3D documentary and a TV series about the project.

The action will take place during five months in the heart of the Borneo jungle, where ten young leaders will provide a sustainable livelihood to the local communities, restoring a full ecosystem and participating in the creation of the most advanced orangutan sanctuary in the world.

Fabrice Marre from Adelaide, Australia, originally from France, is competing to be one of the ten people chosen to embark on this fantastic journey.

After falling in love with Australia five years ago, this dynamic young man, originally from France explained he is working as a mapping specialist to help protect the planet. “ I've chosen this job because I have a deep respect for nature and I wanted to make a difference.”

“Deforestation in Borneo is increasing at a frightening rate and we need to act quickly, that's why I want to be part of this ground-breaking project,” he said.
